Specialized Kindergarten No. 7 'Zirochka' in Cherkasy provides care and education for 38 children with special educational needs.
The building has a basic 45 m² shelter currently used during air raids. However, its condition is far from safe and comfortable: the floor lacks covering, and there's no lighting, ventilation, sewage, or heating.
In 2023–2024, staff managed to whitewash the walls and partially cover the floor with cardboard. Still, this effort is far from sufficient.
In 2025, a capital renovation of the shelter is scheduled using city budget funds. As of July 1, the institution has temporarily suspended the educational process to carry out the renovations.
However, the budget does not cover child-sized furniture, which is crucial to fully equipping the space and continuing educational activities there.
That is why the "Angels of Freedom" Foundation is taking on the responsibility of providing the shelter with the necessary equipment — so that every child can feel safe and comfortable.
