Fundraising for Ventilation in the Shelter of Preschool No. 73 in Chernihiv

Preschool Educational Institution No. 73 is located in the city of Chernihiv. It is attended by 143 children, including toddlers under the age of 4. Among them are children from families affected by the war, children of military personnel, internally displaced children, and children with special educational needs.
The institution has a shelter with an area of 246.5 m², which is regularly used during air raid alerts. However, it requires additional improvements.

The problem

Since autumn 2025, air raid alerts in Chernihiv have become significantly longer and more frequent. Children are forced to stay in the shelter for several hours in a row, sometimes even for most of the day.
Despite the generally normal condition of the rooms, the shelter lacks a proper ventilation system. During prolonged stays of a large number of children in a confined space:● oxygen levels decrease;● carbon dioxide levels and humidity increase;● children quickly become tired, sleepy, and irritable;● and children with special needs experience a much more severe deterioration in their well-being.
Fresh air is critically important for young children. Without ventilation, it is impossible to ensure safe conditions in the shelter during long air raid alerts.

What we are planning to do

We are raising funds to install a full-fledged ventilation system in the shelter, which will ensure a constant supply of fresh air, reduce carbon dioxide levels and humidity, and provide comfortable conditions for children during prolonged air raid alerts.
Financial goal: 319,034 UAH
This amount covers the purchase of ventilation equipment, air ducts, installation, and related works.

Every donation is an investment in the health and safety of children, even in these difficult times.
Please help provide fresh air to the shelter where children are forced to hide from danger for hours.
